acquired all outstanding shares in the German company Messtechnik Wetzlar
GmbH (www.mtwz.de). MTWZ is a leading
developer and provider of QUINDOS software solutions for quality control of
complex mechanical parts such as gears and turbine blades. MTWZ is also a

solutions. The company will be integrated into Hexagon Metrology, the
world’s largest industrial measurement group, incorporating industry leading
brands Brown & Sharpe, Cognitens, DEA, Leitz, Leica Geosystems, Sheffield,

Hexagon Metrology as of July 1, 2008 and will immediately contribute to
Hexagon's earnings.
MTWZ's QUINDOS metrology software is used with high-end coordinate
measuring machines such as the Leitz PMM series. The solution is used to
inspect and measure the complex geometry of gears, power train components,
and turbine blades utilized by industries such as aerospace, automotive,
power generation including wind power, and heavy engineering.
"The acquisition of MTWZ shows our commitment to the high-end segment of
software tools in the quality control of prismatic parts. MTWZ's software
