ModernTech AEC, Greenleaf 3D Combine Their Organizations

KNOXVILLE, TN, July 26, 2010 - ModernTech AEC Solutions, a division of ModernTech Corporation, and Greenleaf 3D have combined their organizations. Both firms provide technology solutions to the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) markets and are headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. Common interests in delivering unparalleled customer service bring the companies together. They will operate under the Greenleaf 3D name.

Greenleaf 3D is an established Autodesk Silver Partner that has helped several large companies adopt and leverage Autodesk solutions. ModernTech AEC Solutions is a leading provider of software and services for Southeastern architectural, civil and transportation firms, including various Departments of Transportation (DOT). The AEC community will benefit from the combined strengths, industry expertise, management longevity, financial stability, and a proven reputation of integrity and professionalism in offering best-of-class technology solutions, training and technical services.

“Our decision to unite the two companies was based on changes in the AEC market, customer demand and adapting to today’s economic changes,” states Joe Kirby, ModernTech Corporation CEO. “Greenleaf 3D will build on ModernTech AEC’s 22-year commitment to customer service and diversified technical resources to better differentiate them.”

“AEC firms are exploring ways to be more competitive in a tough economy,” comments Rich Reed, ModernTech Corporation President. “Today’s software technology enables them to achieve their goals. Integrating parametric design, Building Information Modeling (BIM), sustainable design and the ability to globally collaborate are examples of how Greenleaf 3D partners with our customers.”

“I see this as a win-win for Greenleaf 3D and our clients,” says Susan Sykes, Greenleaf 3D Vice President Business Development. “Our clients say that working with us to leverage technology as a differentiator increases their project award rates. ModernTech AEC Solutions’ team adds a substantial amount of real-world experience - particularly in civil and DOT work- giving Greenleaf 3D a unique edge.  Autodesk has been very supportive,” continues Sykes. “They have furnished exceptional training and resources for our team. We look forward to building on our strengths and a long term relationship with Autodesk as they expand their transportation market and cutting-edge technologies.”
