GEOMATE Releases CADCALCS 2.0 for Calculations
Price Ranges from $99 to $299 for Individual to Commercial Users
SAN
JOSE, CA, Jan 16, 2009 - GEOMATE Company today released CADCALCS 2.0 software that enables users to
simply sketch-and-solve a wide range of design and engineering challenges while
making informed decisions. CADCALCS 2.0 represents the first significant
improvement in design calculation methodology since Romans built aqueducts.

Until now engineers have been using two separate tools for performing design
calculations – one to define the geometry the other for performing calculations.
This has been a disconnected, tedious, and error prone method that inhibited
innovation. CADCALCS 2.0 combines the disciplines of sketching, calculations,
and optimization in one application that enables users to work with geometry in
the same way as spreadsheets work with numbers. When geometry and mathematical
aspects of an engineering challenge are inseparable, CADCALCS 2.0 delivers
answers in less time than any other known method.
Several groundbreaking technologies have been incorporated in CADCALCS 2.0.
The ultra-fast constraint manager driving the CADCALCS 2.0 sketcher was
developed from the ground up for function modeling. A library of eighty-eight
geometry-associative calculations built-in functions are included that can
automate virtually any design calculation needed for aerospace, automotive,
mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, chemical, and industrial engineering.
Plus, CADCALCS 2.0 includes the industry's first geometry Goal Seek capability
that enables users to automatically backsolve design challenges that benefit
from optimization against stipulated shape, position, and fit criteria, using
only four mouse-clicks.
CADCALCS 2.0 enables users to leverage their existing investments in design
and calculation tools. Bi-directional DDE, dynamic data exchange, facility
allows users to link Excel and CADCALCS 2.0 to leverage existing calculations
and VB applications to drive CADCALCS 2.0 solution models. Conversely, complex
geometry and dimensional information from CADCALCS 2.0 can be dynamically linked
to Excel calculations thereby eliminating tedious steps needed for applying
mathematics to solve geometry-dependent design problems.
CADCALCS 2.0 can be used by itself and in conjunction with Excel and all
popular CAD applications on any computer running Vista or Windows.
Commercial Price: $299 per user.
Educational Price: $99 per user.
