Robert Kody Joins Geomagic as GM Dental Biz
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC,
Jul 9, 2009 - Robert Kody, previously general manager of the digital
orthodontics business at 3M Unitek Corp., has joined Geomagic as general
manager of the company’s dental business.
Kody
is responsible for managing every aspect of Geomagic’s dental operations.
Geomagic’s fast-growing dental business supports chair-side and lab-side
dental CAD/CAM solutions that enable professionals to design and create
precise restorations, streamline the dental reconstruction process, and
improve patient care.
Kody joined 3M in 1998 as a scientist in the corporate research lab. From
2005 to 2009, he was responsible for managing and growing all areas of 3M
Unitek’s digital orthodontics business. Kody holds a BS in mechanical
engineering from the University of Michigan, a PhD in polymer science and
engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and an Executive MBA from
the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
