Excitech Forms Structural Solutions Division
ENFIELD,
UK, June 01, 2009 - Excitech is pleased to announce the formation of its new
Excitech Structural Solutions (E.S.S.) business unit which is focused on UK
Structural Engineering Market. The new division aims at serving the UK user
base of Autodesk’s Structural Solutions.
Nigel Rees has joined Excitech to head up this division and expand its
presence in the Structural Engineering market. Nigel brings with him 9 years
of technical experience of Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis (RSA) software
(formerly known as Robot Millennium). Prior to joining Excitech, Nigel Rees
worked for Autodesk and was Director of Robobat (UK), developing a
successful business around the Finite Element Analysis and Design software
Robot Millennium.
Excitech Structural Solutions will focus its efforts on the structural
product portfolio available from Autodesk, namely Robot Structural Analysis
and Revit Structure and more importantly developing plans for locally based
training and support facilities so that its customers can confidently use
the products to maximize the return on their investment.
Commenting on the launch of the new division, Managing Director Adrian
Atkinson said; “Since the launch of the Autodesk’s Robot Structural Analysis
software back in October 2008, there has been a problem within the industry
in providing even the most basic levels of support and training for the new
Autodesk RSA software. This has been a problem for both new customers and
for those Robot Millennium users that had to migrate to the Autodesk
platform. Having previously worked for Robobat, Nigel Rees has the technical
knowledge and experience to provide the high level training and support for
the industry and will be working with Excitech’s existing structural teams
to train them up and develop their knowledge of the products. This means
that Excitech is in the unique position of being able to partner with its
customers and help them realize the maximum value from their investment in
the latest structural design and analysis solutions.”
Atkinson continues by explaining that; “Excitech’s culture is about
delivering more than just the design tools, it’s about delivering the
implementation advice, developing the processes, uplifting the skills and
knowledge-base and providing the ongoing day-to-day support. All of these
are elements needed to ensure that implementing the right design and
analysis tools is a complete success. The launch of this new division
significantly strengthens our commitment to the structural engineering
sector and we are looking forward to Nigel’s skills and experience adding
significant knowledge and experience to our technical team.”
