BEVERLY, MA, Jan 28, 2009 - Envista Corporation, the exclusive provider of web-based software for infrastructure project coordination, today announced its first milestone of maintaining information on more than 50,000 built infrastructure projects since its launch in May 2008. Envista introduced the first technology to help municipalities, utilities, and highway agencies work together efficiently while conducting infrastructure work in the "right of way". The company is currently working with over 38 towns, utilities, and transportation agencies from the US and Canada in pilot programs or as subscribers, including the City of Baltimore, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company, Providence Water Supply Board, and others.

In early 2008, Envista completed development of its innovative software that combines the latest technologies--internet mapping, spatial database, and Web 2.0 tools. Envista's map-driven solution allows project leaders to view all projects on a map, see what work is planned in a specific geographic location, instantly troubleshoot potential conflicts, and effectively manage and coordinate the close interdependencies of local infrastructure. Last quarter, the company released an original cartoon entitled Street Cut Capers depicting the impact of free-for-all infrastructure renewal work on Main Street, Your Town. The cartoon can be viewed at http://www.envista.com/street-cut-capers

Envista CEO Rick Fiery states, "With the forthcoming economic recovery program, there will be an unprecedented number of infrastructure projects getting underway at the same time. As our 50,000 project milestone attests, Envista is well positioned to support this effort. Now, more than ever, technology will be critical to implement and manage the complexity of project planning and execution."
