PUMP-FLO.com Passes 150K Users Milestone
LACEY,
WA, Aug 15, 2008 - PUMP-FLO Solutions (An Engineered Software Business), the
leading provider of pump selection software solutions to the fluid handling
industry, announced its PUMP-FLO.com website has over 150,000 registered
users. The PUMP-FLO software suite, used by pump manufacturers, pump
distributors, and pump users/specifiers, is the global leader in the pump
selection process. The software is used in the sizing and selection of
pumps, showing dynamic pump curves, and aids purchasers and suppliers in the
quotation process.
“The popularity PUMP-FLO.com is really exploding. With over 100 pump
manufacturers catalogs now available it is no wonder the site has attracted
so many users,” said Michael Blondin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
for Engineered Software. “We continue to be the leader in pump selection
software, working with more manufacturers than anyone else in the world. The
more people we have using the website and the software, the more
[manufacturers’ catalogs] we will be able to offer them. The website has
added over 50,000 registered users in the past 14 month alone.”
The PUMP-FLO.com website, originally started in 2002, offers information
on the pump industry, research articles, and training and software
opportunities. The main feature of the website is the downloadable pump
catalogs offered to the PUMP-FLO Software users. The website offers free
pump selection through the online portal from any of the more than 78 free
manufacturer catalogs including thousands of available pump curves.
The PUMP-FLO product line is used by over 100 pump manufacturers, 400
distributors, and over 150,000 pump buyers/specifiers. PUMP-FLO.com’s
selection portal is designed off the Windows-based software (CD) and boasts
to save time, increase accuracy, and improve productivity during the sizing,
selection, and quotation process of centrifugal pumps.
“I think the huge increase in registered users can be attributed to the
increase in the manufacturers available and that fact makes it a great
marketing tool for the manufacturers,” said Ray Hardee, Vice President of
Engineering at Engineered Software, Inc. “The web-based version of our
software increases the visibility of pump manufacturers’ product lines to
customers who might not otherwise consider their line of pumps.”
