DP Technology, Autodesk Italy Become Marketing Partners

CA, Feb 25, 2009 - The Italian branches of DP Technology, an innovator in
the field of computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM), and Autodesk, a major producer
of two-and-three-dimensional design software, have joined forces for the purpose
of co-marketing their respective products.
"This collaboration will allow us to show the interoperability of our CAM
solution to the world of Autodesk users," said Bruno Monelli, director of
sales for DP Italy, of the new partnership. “Our ESPRIT software will
empower users with a long list of benefits.”
The first formal public collaboration between the two parties took place this
month at Seatec 2009, in Marina di Carrara, Italy.
ESPRIT provides users with ESPRIT FX, which is the latest in advanced CAD to
CAM feature exchange technology. Going beyond transferring just the part
geometry, the FX technology provides portions of the original Autodesk Inventor
Feature Tree directly inside the ESPRIT user interface, thereby including the
complete original design intent - features, tolerances, material properties,
surface finishes, administrative data, etc.
Utilization of the CAD feature tree within ESPRIT speeds up the programming
process while simultaneously increasing accuracy, providing programmers with
truer descriptions of work pieces to be machined.
