Currently there are no good options for placing spreadsheets in Revit.
DotSoft has addressed this issue by porting its popular AutoCAD Excel
software, XL2CAD to the Revit environment.
XL2CAD overcomes the limits and problems associated with placement of
Excel spreadsheets inside Revit. It creates and maintains DXF files of named
ranges in Excel that are linked in Revit. The results are lines, fills and
mtext that can plot without problems and are highly portable to others.
XL2CAD for Revit provides an accurate representation of the spreadsheet,
including text, lines, fills, etc. It also was designed to maintain links so
that changes to the spreadsheet will show the next time the Revit project is
opened.
