THELWALL, UK, Sep 19, 2007 - DriveWorksXpress is recognized as THE easy to use, rules-based Design Automation tool for SolidWorks Engineers, allowing users to create multiple variations of parts, assemblies and drawings quickly and accurately.

The latest version of DriveWorksXpress has been included in SolidWorks for 2008.

DriveWorksXpress allows Design Engineers to capture dimensions and features so they can be controlled and driven; the next step is to build rules to determine what new variations should be generated, based on values entered into a simple form.

Once a project has been set up new values can be entered over and over again for specifying and creating new models and drawings quickly and easily.

Fielder Hiss, Manager of Product Management at SolidWorks Corporation added “I am very excited about the value that DriveWorksXpress will be providing to our customers with SolidWorks 2008. Every company who values quick response to customer requests or who is looking to differentiate themselves through product customization will love DriveWorksXpress.”

"SolidWorks is recognized as leading the way with 3D CAD for designing better products. The inclusion of DriveWorksXpress in core SolidWorks makes the benefits of Easy-to-Use Design Automation available to all SolidWorks Engineers," added Maria Sarkar, Co-Founder, DriveWorks Ltd.
