Over 120 Attend Solid Edge with ST 2 Launch Events in UK
OXFORDSHIRE,
UK, Sep 2, 2009 - Cutting Edge Solutions Ltd (CES) today announced the
success of its recent customer day, which showcased new functionality in
Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology 2 (ST2).
As an integral part of its continual added value initiatives, CES holds
free-of-charge customer days which coincide with the launch of each new
version of Solid Edge. To address the wide geographic spread of CES
customers, events were held at two customer sites. The first event was at
Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Didcot followed by a meeting at Weir Power
& Industrial in Huddersfield. The excitement around this latest launch
resulted in over 120 customers in attendance.
The audience was given the opportunity to learn about further
ground-breaking new technology in a friendly, informal environment. Such
enhancements include handling more design scenarios and introducing a new
synchronous technology-based sheet metal application. These enhancements –
combined with a new, robust, built-in finite element analysis application
and an update of Solid Edge Insight software – allows ST2 to continue to
deliver significantly faster modeling experience and more. The latest
release was very well received:
Nancy Sargent of Chapman Driver Seating commented. "The customer day held
by Cutting Edge was very well organized and informative. Having such an
event, enables other Solid Edge users to discuss the diverse uses of the
software and to talk freely to the CES staff about any queries they may
have. The demonstrations of Solid Edge ST2, given by the CES staff,
illustrated the benefits of using this software and showed just how easy
Solid Edge is to use”. Nancy continued: “The speakers were interesting and
knowledgeable, especially when they showed hints and tips of how to get the
best out of the software. In all, it was a very interesting day and I am
already looking forward to the next customer day.”
“It is always easy to justify a day out of the office for a CES customer
day. The latest version of Solid Edge is always put through its paces in a
professional and honest fashion, together with detailed information about
any associated tools or products in the portfolio”. Paul Exton, CAD
Administrator for Rotork Controls Ltd stated. Paul continued: “In addition,
networking with other Solid Edge users has proved very useful, and of course
meeting the CES staff also helps consolidate a very important working
relationship.”
Ian Methley of Mechadyne International commented: “Attending a Cutting
Edge customer day is always valuable because the demonstrations show the
‘real world’ application of the new product enhancements better than any
amount of literature could achieve. The ‘General Tips and Techniques’
session was really useful, but watching somebody else using Solid Edge
during the other product demonstration sessions is also a great way to pick
up a variety of tips and different approaches to modeling!” Ian continued:
“Having worked with the Cutting Edge team for quite a few years now, it is
always good to meet up with some friendly faces and discuss the new product
features at an informal level.”
Customers are now eagerly anticipating the shipment of this industry
revolutionizing offering this Autumn.
