NEWBURY, UK, Mar 28, 2008 - Concurrent Systems Inc Ltd, a leading developer of design data and document management solutions today announces that QuadTech, designer and manufacturer of automated control systems for print, has decided to invest in DDM to provide a comprehensive design data/document management and sharing solution for Pro/ENGINEER, Promis-e electrical CAD, ExpertCAD and AutoCAD.

“In looking for a viable data management solution, we investigated the offerings from eight alternative vendors and ultimately chose DDM from CSI over continuing with PDMLink or the hosted PDM solutions offered by PTC partners. We did not want to move to a hosted PDM solution, thereby, relinquishing customization flexibility and performance” says Glenn Schoepke, manager of QuadTech’s Engineering Services.

“There were several key reasons for the decision to go with DDM. We were looking to solve our growing and diverse file vaulting needs with a single solution, and without the frills and complexities of more costly PDM-type systems. Financially, the ROI was very attractive as compared to sustaining the Pro/INTRALINK and Windchill PDMLink systems we currently have. In addition, the annual sustainment costs that we calculated will be considerably less than our current costs. The DDM application met our extensive requirements and passed acceptance by our users as demonstrated in several working pilots. The expertise and helpfulness offered by CSI and Drew Engineering throughout our investigation and piloting was professional, responsive, capable and reassuring. CSI’s abilities to work with us to address our data migration challenges and unique functionality requirements were refreshing.”
