CSC Releases Orion v15 for Concrete Buildings

Apr 18, 2008 - CSC is pleased to announce the release of Orion v15 - free to
all users with current maintenance contracts. This release is a major
update, dominated by the following key technical developments and ultimately
commercial benefits listed below.
- NEW Batch FE chasedown allows automatic full building load
chasedown to be performed - providing significant speed enhancements
when re-analysis is required due to model
amendments.
- Further user interface and modeling enhancements, continue to
make model construction much easier.
- NEW Analysis status clarification - current design status is
displayed using a traffic light system.
- Faster building analysis and post-processor enhancements.
- Improved determination of punching shear perimeters for more
complex layouts.
- Beam detailing and reinforcement curtailment enhancements
including user defined tension lap factor.
- Column and wall design, and detailing enhancements including
NEW options to specify mesh reinforcement and single layer of
reinforcement.
- Materials list data enhancements - including NEW Microsoft
Access and Excel export options.
- NEW Support for Hong Kong design code HK-2004 - "Structural
Use of Concrete (2004)".
