CONCENTRIC to Sell TechViz in Australia, New Zealand
SYDNEY,
Australia,
Feb 26, 2009 – CONCENTRIC Asia Pacific P/L, the leading provider of
design-engineering-manufacturing-visualization-simulation (virtual reality)
technology solutions and knowledge based services to the Australia-New
Zealand region, has announced the release of TechViz solutions to the local
market.
TechViz is a Paris based company founded in 2004 which has developed
solutions that enable generic 3D software applications to generate high
definition interactive content including visualization, human body tracking and
virtual assembly.
The trio of TechViz XL, TechViz Turbo and TechViz Immersive range from
entry-level to high powered PC-cluster environments using multiple projectors.
“TechViz is pleased to collaborate with CONCENTRIC Asia Pacific P/L.
CONCENTRIC Asia Pacific, the leading provider of
design-engineering-manufacturing-visualization-simulation technology solutions,
represents a wonderful opportunity for TechViz which offer a real know how on
its market ”, says TechViz CTO, Alexis Vartanian.
“The TechViz solutions provide our customers with even more seamless tools
which will enable them to cost-effectively introduce interactive and immersive
three dimensional environments to areas such as product design and production
processes”, says CONCENTRIC Managing Director, Michael Myers. “Companies like
Audi, BMW, Dassault Aviation, Honda, Massey Ferguson, Magna Steyr, PSA Peugeot
Citreon, Porsche, Renault, Subaru and Toyota are already using these solutions
to reduce their design and production overheads and deliver better products to
market a lot faster. We want to provide that same competitive advantage to
businesses here.”
Other overseas industries relying on Techviz include architecture,
construction, aeronautics, oil and gas, manufacturing and research.
David Simper, Manager of the CONCENTRIC Simulation Services Group, adds,
“TechViz perfectly complements our existing solutions, such as 3DVia Virtools,
as a means of making interactive and immersive digital content accessible to
everyone along the value chain – from design to manufacture. Now, with Techviz,
designers and engineers can quickly and easily transfer their 3D CAD files to
high definition Virtual Reality Centres, caves or visualization walls and
interact with them.”
With TechViz XL, TechViz Turbo and TechViz Immersive there is no need for
data conversion. They are all certified to work with more than 60 of the world’s
most used products including Autodesk 3DStudio Max, Autodesk Alias Studio,
Autodesk Alias Motionbuilder, Autodesk Autocad, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk
Maya, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Showcase, AVEVA Vintage, Acrobat Reader, Bentley
Microstation, Dassault Systemes Abaqus-CATIA-DELMIA-ENOVIA-Virtolls-3DXML
Player, Deep Exploration, Fluent, Firefox, Google Sketchup, Internet Explorer,
Microsoft Office (Powerpoint/Excel/Word), Photoshop, PTC ProE WildFire, PTC
ProductView, Rhino 3D, Right Hemisphere, UGS Teamcenter, UGS Unigraphics NX,
SolidEdge and SolidWorks.
TechViz XL is a presentation solution for multi-displays using active and
passive stereo, body-head-finger tracking. Specifically for high end virtual
reality systems or high resolution displays.
TechViz Turbo is a graphic super calculator based on PC clusters for working
on very large data (C.A.O Models) on a workstation 3D application. It has been
shown to dramatically increase processing speed up to 25 times faster (eg. with
CATIA).
TechViz Immersive is a combined hardware and software package for virtual
reality first-timers.
Features include:
- Distribute and accelerate the display of 3D applications on commodity
PC’s
- Work directly and immediately in existing 3D software without losing
data and performance
- Work on 3D complex models
- Optimise 3D Display performance
- Turn any 3D software into a cluster application
- Create immersive visualization and virtual reality of a 3D model on a
visualization wall •
- No data conversion necessary
- No specific tool rerquired, use the usual 3D application
- High resolution rendering
For instance, TechViz solutions enable the validation of ergonomic factors in
working tasks by displaying collisions between the human body and the 3D model
(with Human Body Tracking equipment)…inspection of a virtual assembly via
interactively moving parts of the model, seeing collisions, recording motion
paths for further studies, validating mounting tasks and maintenance operations,
and developing content for immersive training programs…allow multiple CAD
reviews by merging multiple 3D scenes in real time from different 3D
applications in order to see them in a single view…create animated content for
training or debriefs by video recording actions and model navigation into a
movie. To mention a few.
