CGS plus Releases Autopath 2011 for Roadway Design
Suggested retail price 1200 Euro
LJUBLJANA,
July 28, 2010 - CGS plus, Autodesk Developers Network member and Autodesk
Preferred Industry Partner for Civil 3D announces the immediate release of
Autopath 2011, a new AutoCAD Civil 3D based software product for swept path
analysis purposes in roadway design. Fully integrated with AutoCAD Civil 3D,
it features dynamic plan / profile view analysis and a flexible vehicle
library.
“We are
proud to introduce completely new swept-path analysis software, the first one
specifically designed for AutoCAD Civil 3D. For almost 20 years of our company
history, swept-path analysis has been an important feature in CGS plus roadway
design software portfolio. Our main goal was to develop the very first swept
path analysis software on the market that fully supports Civil 3D, its objects
and its dynamic behavior. The result is amazing: instead of spending hours of
trial and error, you can now play with Civil 3D alignments using grips and
Autopath parameters to optimize your junction, cross-road or roundabout design,”
says Matjaž Šajn, CGS plus managing director.
Autopath 2011 is a part of CGS Civil 3D ROAD Extensions, a product that
enhances AutoCAD Civil 3D functionality. Previously known as CGS plus »Turning
Curves« software, it is one of the CGS plus bestseller products, proven and used
by thousands of roadway designers across Europe and worldwide.
Autopath 2011, a swept path analysis and driving
simulation software can be used to analyze intersections, roundabouts, narrow
streets, garage entrances, etc. or to check maneuverability and clearance. It
features:
- Analysis results are dynamically updated if any of the swept-path
analysis parameters, reference alignment or profile is changed. Vehicle path
can be easily and intuitively controlled by moving the Civil 3D alignment or
profile grips;
- Includes a flexible vehicle library with various vehicle categories. A
new vehicle can be added or an existing vehicle can be modified if required.
User has the option to construct special vehicles (aircraft, tractor, trucks
with oversized load…) including multiple trailer support;
- Vertical swept path analysis in profile. This feature is useful for
checking vertical clearance at garage entrances, steep slopes,
- Various driving methods: following Civil 3D alignment or polyline with
the front or rear vehicle axis, manual steering, reverse driving;
- Graphical representation of the analysis results with tire paths,
vehicle outer edge, swept area, tire angle graph. All reports are
dynamically updated when the reference alignment or profile is changed.
