BUFFALO GROVE, IL, May 15, 2008 - Computer Aided Technology Inc. has formed an exclusive partnership with SolidProfessor, a SolidWorks solution partner, to offer a bundle of transition courses from AutoCAD to SolidWorks.

CATI’s strategic partnership allows them to be the only providers of this professional bundle in the Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Kentucky area. The bundle includes SolidProfessor Core Concepts, SolidProfessor Advanced Concepts, SolidProfessor Sheet Metal, SolidProfessor PhotoWorks essentials, and SolidProfessor Update Training.

“As clients continue to migrate from AutoCAD to SolidWorks to meet their business goals, it is imperative that they realize quick return on that investment. In today’s business climate, every minute counts. CATI training paired with SolidProfessor content allows our customers to make the most of every day and design better products,” said Rich Werneth, President, CATI.

The course was designed and written by SolidWorks Instructors as an easy-to-use tool for AutoCAD users to make a quick transition to SolidWorks. New users will learn how to make new Parts, Assemblies, and Drawings, as well as how to bring their original DXF and DWG files into SolidWorks 3D Parts, Assemblies, and 2D drawings.

“With so many AutoCAD users switching to SolidWorks, I am pleased that we now offer a resource to help leverage the value of their existing 2D documentation and move it forward into 3D," said Jason Wright, Product Manager of SolidProfessor.

Through the partnership, CATI will be selling the bundle in their online store, Each component of the bundle can be bought separately, but the total price for all five components will be $599.00.
