CADSoftTools Releases ABViewer v7

TULA, Russia, Jun 18, 2009 - Even as little as viewing a CAD document used to take as much as having an expensive, and bulky CAD application. SoftGold Ltd. of Tula, Russia, has announced the release of a solution that allows not only viewing, but also editing CAD images – without expensive CAD software.

Version 7 of ABViewer – a viewer-converter application with a built-in editor - brings in over a dozen of new CAD editing tools:

CAD formats supported by the new ABViewer 7 include: AutoCAD DWG (up to version 2009), DXF ASCII, DWT, DWF. Other supported CAD formats are: PLT, SVG, HPGL, CGM and PS. Along with those, the application can handle “regular” vector and raster graphics with literally infinite-size canvas in a range of formats between BMP and SVGZ.

CAD drawings edited in ABViewer 7 not only remain readable for the “regular” CAD applications – they could be easily converted to other vector or raster formats without using any third-party software.

The drawings can be printed to plotters or to regular A4 printers. The application can automatically slice large images into a mosaic of smaller fragments and then print all or any specific fragment on a regular A4 printer. The software comes with a predefined set of US and DIN dimensions and provides a sophisticated set of printing options.

Acquiring the in-depth expertise over the application would take not more than a couple of hours, which is at least 10 times less than what it takes to become familiar with an average CAD suite. The application perfectly fits in the niche with demands for outstanding quality, quick deployment, flexible yet productive performance, and low take-off budget.
