CADalytic Updates SpecifiCAD for AutoCAD, Architecture 2009

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Dec 4, 2008 - CADalytic Media, Inc. today has updated SpecifiCAD for Autodesk AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architecture 2009. SpecifiCAD delivers relevant building product data to the designer's Desktop within the BIM environment using CADalytic Media's patent-pending technology. In its collaboration with McGraw-Hill Construction, CADalytic Media through SpecifiCAD delivers the functionality of the Sweets Network to provide manufacturer content directly on the BIM desktop. Designers can quickly access CAD details, SketchUp 3D models, catalogs, three-part specifications, and Green information. SpecifiCAD also delivers relevant Google 3D Warehouse content including the McGraw-Hill Construction Sweets3D Collection content to the Desktop.

SpecifiCAD's Sweets Network interface is consistent with McGraw-Hill Construction's recent upgrade of its Sweets Network environment, but with the same linking enhancement available in previous versions of SpecifiCAD. Designers can link the desired Sweets Network manufacturer's product web page to the selected objects by clicking the Link button in the SpecifiCAD Sweets Network window.

SpecifiCAD delivers relevant product data for the component selected in AutoCAD. At any time, the designer can simply click on a hyperlink or icon in the SpecifiCAD Sweets Network window to get more detailed building product information. Designers can then incorporate BIM and specification data back into their design documents.

Remember that SpecifiCAD provides the most seamless integration of the Google 3D Warehouse with as well as the only drag-and-drop solution of Google SketchUp components into the AutoCAD environment. As with the Sweets Network window, SpecifiCAD delivers relevant product data for the component selected in AutoCAD, but with the 3D Warehouse, clicking on a Download hyperlink will download the SketchUp component directly into the AutoCAD session.

SpecifiCAD for other Platforms

SpecifiCAD is available for all major architectural software solutions including the recently announced updates for Google SketchUp 7 and Autodesk Revit Architecture 2009. All versions leverage the SpecifiCAD Sweets Network and Google 3D Warehouse user interface.
