Sara Ferris No Longer Cadalyst Editor-in-Chief
Questex Media appoints GIS veteran Amy Stankiewicz to top CAD editorial
position
NEWTON, Massachusetts, January 4, 2007 - Questex Media announced today that
Amy Stankiewicz has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Cadalyst magazine.
Stankiewicz is a veteran technology journalist and previously served as
Editor-in-Chief of Geospatial Solutions (www.geospatial-online.com)
a Questex Media publication covering GIS (geographic information systems)
and related spatial technologies. Stankiewicz succeeds Sara Ferris as
Editor-in-Chief at Cadalyst.
Stankiewicz’s promotion is one of several planned growth initiatives at
Cadalyst. “Amy Stankiewicz’s experience and leadership will be invaluable as
we continue to build on the success of Cadalyst’s current online information
services. We’re looking forward to expanding into new areas in 2007,” said
Dana Fisher, Group Publisher. Fisher noted that while the Cadalyst print
magazine remains a key part of the Cadalyst portfolio, the Cadalyst network
of websites and e-newsletters is expected to continue fueling major growth
opportunities.
As Editor-in-Chief, Stankiewicz will spearhead new initiatives to enhance
the delivery of specialized business, technology, and purchasing information
to an audience of 290,000+ spanning print, online, and e-mail newsletters,

Stankiewicz will continue to oversee Geospatial Solutions, including
crossover initiatives with Cadalyst such as the GIS Tech News newsletter. In
addition, a Senior Editor will be named to the staff at Geospatial
Solutions.
