BOSS Joins Autodesk Vendor Program for Civil Software
MADISON,
WI, Feb 15, 2008 - BOSS International, a developer of civil engineering
hydrology and hydraulic software, has been named an authorized Autodesk
Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner.
“We are extremely happy to be working closely with Autodesk,” said Chris
Maeder, Managing Director at BOSS International. “This partnership ensures
that our software integrates seamlessly with Autodesk’s AutoCAD, Land
Desktop, Civil3D, and Map3D products.”
One of BOSS International’s products, RiverCAD, completely automates HEC-RAS
hydraulic modeling within AutoCAD, Land Desktop, Civil3D, and Map3D. Users
can quickly develop a HEC-RAS model within minutes, cut river cross
sections, and generate bridge reports and floodplain maps using an AutoCAD
base drawing. End users report an order of magnitude productivity increase
compared with other engineering methods.
“By utilizing Autodesk’s well established CAD interface, engineers can
quickly complete a HEC-RAS project in a minimal amount of time,” continues
Maeder. “We are very proud of our RiverCAD application. Participating in
Autodesk’s ISV program ensures that we can continue to offer cutting edge
products that are in step with the marketplace.”
Maeder concluded by saying, “A strong partnership with Autodesk is an
integral part of our business strategy. Not only are we committed to
improving RiverCAD, but we are also working to integrate our other civil
engineering products into the Autodesk Civil3D environment.”
