State of Delaware Selects BOSS International's StormNET

WI, Jan 22, 2008 - The Delaware Division of Soil and Water Conservation has
accepted StormNET by BOSS International for use in performing Stormwater
management calculations in accordance with the State of Delaware’s Sediment
and Stormwater Regulations.
“We are pleased that StormNET has been accepted by the State of Delaware
and that it easily passed their NRCS TR-20 benchmark test,” said Chris
Maeder, Senior Technical Engineer for BOSS International. Maeder adds, “This
approval means that a client can use StormNET for Stormwater projects in
Delaware with the confidence that their designs will be accepted by state
agencies.”
Jim Petranek, Senior Account Manager for BOSS International said, “We
initially sought approval for StormNET based upon the request of a potential
client. We’re all excited about being placed upon the state’s list of
approved hydrology models.”
Before being accepted, the results from StormNET had to match a test case
provided by the Division of Soil and Water Conservation. “Our software
contains multiple computational engines including the NRCS TR-20
methodology. This means that matching the benchmark case within a fraction
of a percent wasn’t an issue for StormNET,” said Maeder. “Our software
performs the same calculations as the NRCS TR-20 model, but our enhanced
interface drastically reduces the time needed for model development.”
