Tekla India Expands Mumbai Office
ESPOO,
Finland, March 8, 2007 - Tekla India, a regional distributor of the Tekla
Structures modeling software for the building and construction industry,
expands and strengthens its operations by more than doubling the number of
local personnel and by increasing training and implementation services. As
part of the expansion strategy, Tekla India plans to open a second office in
Hyderabad and locate staff in other areas of India in the near future.
Tekla's first Indian office is located in Mumbai.
Tekla India, which used to be a liaison office, will become a full-span
area office. Says Ajit Mohite, Area Director of Tekla India, about the
expansion's benefits to Tekla's customers in India:
"To satisfy the growing requirements of local Tekla Structures users and
to offer an even better service to our customers, we have more than doubled
our staff and plan to establish new training centers in, for example,
Calcutta, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Ahemadabad, Bangalore and New Delhi.
Tekla is currently the industry leader in India and customers have great
faith in Tekla Structures software. Using our advanced solutions hugely
benefits all our customers' organizations."
"With the help of new service personnel and training centers, we will be
able to offer customized development services and industry-specific training
to all our users. Since the Tekla Structures solution can be utilized at
various levels of an organization, we are now better placed to provide
in-depth information and guidance about the Tekla products and their
features to lower and upper management-level decision makers, and to ensure
a better return on their software investment."
Tekla India has previously been working in cooperation with a local
reseller partner. Now, however, customers can enjoy direct communication
with the software developer and the full product portfolio of configurations
for not only steel detailers and fabricators but also for other EPC
professionals: structural engineers, precast concrete detailers and
manufacturers, as well as contractors.
In Mohite's assessment, the Indian market is growing strongly. "Our
biggest customers believe Tekla Structures will help them achieve more. Our
plan is to work closely with all industry organizations, private and public,
to promote the use of Tekla Structures in domestic projects, such as power
and process plants, airports, offshore structures, bridges and stadiums,
which is in line with India's ambition to create world class
infrastructure."
