IRVINE, CA, Jan 28, 2008 – Roland DGA Corporation, a leading provider of wide-format inkjet printers and integrated print/cutters, today announced White ECO-SOL MAX ink, the company’s most advanced eco-solvent white ink to date.

Formulated specifically for use with Roland’s high-performance 54” SOLJET PRO III XC-540 inkjet printer/cutter, White ECO-SOL MAX is new and improved over original Roland white ink, introduced in 2005 as the industry’s first white eco-solvent ink.

New White ECO-SOL MAX ink offers even higher levels of brightness, opacity and durability and delivers superior imaging across a variety of transparent media for text and graphics that reflect crisp, defined edges and smooth gradations. Enhanced scratch and chemical resistance adds durability to finished prints and ensures performance with a wide range of media options.

“White ECO-SOL MAX brings the all performance of Roland’s most popular ink to the specialized application of white printing,” said Rick Scrimger, vice president and general manager for Roland’s Color Products Division. “With White ECO-SOL MAX ink, professionals can easily incorporate white design elements into a variety of graphics for truly unique packaging comps, window signs, labels and decals. For many shops, these applications can generate significant revenues and open up lucrative new markets while differentiating shops from their competitors’ capabilities.”

On a variety of transparent media, White ECO-SOL MAX ink prints flawless highlights, graphics and text, and can be printed as an undercoat to increase the opacity and vividness of four-color printing. White ECO-SOL MAX ink has been tested, profiled and certified for outstanding performance on both coated and uncoated media options including Roland’s SCM-SPVCT Clear Adhesive Vinyl and ESM-CCVP Clear Calendared Vinyl with Permanent Adhesive.

White ECO-SOL MAX Ink Features:

  • Based on Roland’s award-winning ECO-SOL MAX ink and formulated exclusively for the SOLJET PRO III XC-540
  • Ideal for packaging comps, decorative window films, signs, labels, decals and point of purchase displays
  • Produces crisp, white graphics and text on transparent media and prints as an undercoat to enhance four-color graphics
  • Achieves exceptional brightness, density and opacity
  • Images well on a wide range of uncoated media for lower production costs
  • Highly durable and scratch resistant for easy handling through the finishing and installation processes
  • User-friendly, virtually odorless and competitively priced to maximize profits
  • Supported by Roland VersaWorks 2.6 RIP software

Roland SOLJET PRO III XC-540

The 2008 SOLJET PRO III XC-540 is a high-performance production tool for a wide variety of applications including signs, banners, vehicle graphics and wraps, labels, decals, point of purchase displays and more.
