ASCENT Updates Autodesk Vault, AutoCAD 2009 Training Guide
MISSISSAUGA,
ON, Nov 4, 2008 – RAND Worldwide, a global leader in providing
technology solutions to organizations with engineering design and
information technology requirements, announced today that its courseware
division, ASCENT – Center for Technical Knowledge, released its Vault
2009 Data Management for Inventor Users and AutoCAD 2009 3D Drawing
and Modeling training guides.
The Vault 2009 Data Management for Inventor Users training guide
is intended for Autodesk Inventor users who need to access their design
files from Autodesk Vault 2009. This updated training guide is based on the
2008 version and highlights the functionality of the new search tool for
managing files and designs. Hands-on exercises are included to reinforce how
to manage the design workflow process. The guide includes eight in-depth
units that teach users how to locate, view, modify, create and reuse files
in Autodesk Vault.
The AutoCAD 2009 3D Drawing and Modeling training guide introduces
users who are proficient with AutoCAD’s 2D commands to the concepts and
methods of 3D modeling. The guide provides users with a foundation in 3D
fundamentals and explores the main features of AutoCAD’s advanced 3D
workspace. The updated 2009 version of the training guide helps users
understand the 2009 workspace and interface options, including using the
Ribbon and Menu Browser.
“At a time where many companies are striving to improve efficiencies and
reduce production costs there has never been more of a demand for data
management tools,” said Joe Oswald, Executive Vice-President, PLM Operations
North America and Europe, RAND Worldwide. “ The Vault 2009 Data
Management for Inventor Users training guide reflects this increased
need for data management tools; through a combination of content and
exercises, students are taught how to manage the design workflow process
using Vault 2009.”
Later this year ASCENT will release two newly created training guides.
These include Maya 2008 Fundamentals and Civil 3D 2009 Survey.
