ASCENT Offers Revit Architecture 2009 Training Guide
MISSISSAUGA,
ON, Sep 30, 2008 – RAND Worldwide, a global leader in providing
technology solutions to organizations with engineering design and
information technology requirements, announced today that its courseware
division, ASCENT – Center for Technical Knowledge, released the third
training guide in its Revit Architecture 2009 curriculum series: Revit
Architecture 2009 Advanced.
The Revit Architecture 2009 Advanced training guide builds on ASCENT’s
Revit Architecture 2009 Fundamentals and Revit Architecture 2009
Intermediate guides released this summer. The advanced guide focuses on
Revit Architecture 2009’s Preliminary Design and BIM Management features.
The software’s conceptual design tools, including working with mass
elements, space planning and area analyses are discussed, as well as the
visualization tools for creating perspectives, walk-through, and solar
studies. Users leveraging the BIM management features in the software are
taught how to customize templates with annotation styles, titleblocks,
object styles and materials; and create complex families and custom object
types such as walls, roofs, and floors.
“With the release of our advanced manual, ASCENT now has a complete
line-up of training guides for Revit Architecture 2009 users accommodating
all skill requirements,” said Joe Oswald, Executive Vice-President, PLM
Operations North America and Europe, RAND Worldwide. “ASCENT’s Revit
Architecture 2009 Advanced guide is useful for a variety of advanced
architectural tasks, and can easily be customized by instructors and
students based upon specific learning requirements.”
Later this fall, ASCENT continues its release of Autodesk training guides
including AutoCAD 2009 3D Drawing & Modeling, Maya 2008 Fundamentals, and
Vault 2009: Data Management for Inventor Users.
ASCENT is an Authorized Author, Publisher and Developer of Autodesk
