ASCENT Offers 'AutoCAD 2009 Advanced' Training Guide
MISSISSAUGA,
ON, June 12, 2008 – RAND Worldwide, a global leader in providing
technology solutions to organizations with engineering design and
information technology requirements, announced today that its courseware
division, ASCENT – Center for Technical Knowledge, added a training course
to its AutoCAD 2009 curriculum line-up: AutoCAD 2009 Advanced.
AutoCAD 2009 Advanced is an extension of ASCENT’s AutoCAD 2009
Fundamentals course, launched in May 2008. This updated 2009 training guide
covers AutoCAD 2009’s new Action Recorder feature, which records the
commands a user runs and automates tasks without programming experience, as
well as the new Ribbon interface for accessing commands. Focus is also
placed on the application’s advanced annotation, drawing with complex
objects, and defining blocks and attributes. Other topics covered in the
guide include sheet set creation, layout and advanced plotting functions,
external reference and image file features, as well as how to use simple
customization techniques to enhance productivity.
“ASCENT continues to update its courses based on client demand,” said Joe
Oswald, Executive Vice-President, PLM Operations, North American and Europe,
RAND Worldwide. “We review all new features and changes to workflow in the
new software version to determine which will have the greatest impact on
user productivity and in which course they should be presented. The goal of
all our training guides is to ensure users are presented with the most
relevant topics that enable them to get the most from the software.”
ASCENT is an Authorized Author, Publisher and Developer of the Autodesk
curriculum. All of the company’s Autodesk courses are available to
educational institutions, individuals, and corporations.
ASCENT is planning to release the following titles early this summer:
Civil 3D 2009 Fundamentals, Revit Architecture 2009 Fundamentals, Inventor
2009 Advanced Assembly Modeling, and AutoCAD Electrical 2009 Fundamentals.
