MISSISSAUGA,
ON, Mar 19, 2008 – RAND Worldwide, a global leader in providing
technology solutions to organizations with engineering design and
information technology requirements, announced today that its courseware
division, ASCENT – Center for Technical Knowledge, released an updated
training guide for Autodesk 3ds Max software: Autodesk 3ds Max 2008
Fundamentals.
The updated Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 Fundamentals training guide focuses on
the fundamental concepts and techniques required to create sophisticated
photo-realistic renderings and desktop animations. Students taking the
course receive an overview of the interface, workflow, and project
configuration; instruction in 3D modeling from 2D objects; and an
introduction to lighting, rendering, and animation for visualization.
Significant emphasis on the mental ray renderer is added to the course to
expand student knowledge of advanced rendering techniques.
Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 Fundamentals is ideal for Autodesk 3ds Max 2008
users in the architectural, civil, and mechanical engineering fields, and in
the product and interior design industries. The course is written by Mark
Gerhard, the first application engineer at Autodesk dedicated to multimedia
products, and is derived from his 18 years of experience with 3D Studio and
3ds Max products.
“With today’s sophisticated 3D design tools providing exact
representation, this ASCENT curriculum can educate companies on utilizing
visualization tools like 3ds Max to fully convey the finished concept to all
stakeholders,” said Joe Oswald, Executive Vice-President, PLM Operations,
North American and Europe, RAND Worldwide.
