SANTA CLARA, CA, Feb 27, 2009 - NVIDIA Corporation today announced that it has appointed Bob Sherbin, a 25-year communications veteran, to the newly created role of vice president, corporate communications.

Sherbin, 51, will be responsible for strengthening corporate communications at the company, with particular focus on external corporate messaging and strategic media relations. He reports to Dan Vivoli, senior vice president, marketing.

"NVIDIA is committed to ensuring that we are recognized as both the industry leader in visual computing and a powerful force in technology innovation," Vivoli said. "Bob’s extensive communications skills, strong experience in large organizations and passion will help us achieve these objectives."

Prior to NVIDIA, Sherbin was vice president at Hewlett-Packard Corp., where he spent four and a half years, most recently running communications associated with the company’s acquisition of EDS. Previously, he ran external communications and corporate communications at HP. He has also held senior communications roles at Gateway, Merrill Lynch and HSBC, in the U.S. and Asia-Pacific, and served as a bureau chief and reporter for Dow Jones News Service in Hong Kong, Stockholm and New York.
