IRVINE, CA, Sep 15, 2008 – Microdesk Principal and Partner Michael DeLacey today announced the appointment of John Barkwell as Microdesk’s Senior Solutions Executive. Mr. Barkwell will be responsible for managing the West Coast consulting services organization and for growing the architectural, engineering, construction and owner operator (AECO) consulting services practice for Microdesk’s California operations, which includes offices in Irvine, Los Angeles, Fresno and San Francisco. Mr. Barkwell will build on Microdesk’s fast growing presence on the West Coast to support Sustainable Design and Low Impact Development initiatives within the AECO community and will assist firms in leveraging design and data management technology to develop sustainable design practices within their organizations.

Mr. Barkwell has over eighteen years of experience providing business process consulting, technology consulting and support services to the AECO industry with eight years at Autodesk Consulting as a Solutions Executive and Product Manager in the AEC industry and ten years as an Autodesk Authorized Consultant directly implementing Autodesk AEC solutions while gaining a comprehensive understanding of customer technology requirements and business issues.
