Mechdyne Launches Go Green/Save Green Lamp Renewal Program
MARSHALLTOWN,
IA, Jun 10, 2009 - Mechdyne Corporation, a leader in turn-key 3D and
advanced audio visual system integration, today announced its “Go Green /
Save Green” projection lamp renewal program. Lamp renewal is a cost and
resource saving alternative to lamp replacement for Xenon-bulb based, high
performance projectors used in large-scale visualization and virtual reality
environments. By using new lamps and refurbishing the housing and power
components, Mechdyne delivers “like new” lamp performance for up to 25
percent less than the cost of complete lamp replacement offered by projector
manufacturers.
Mechdyne offers the program for lamps used in high brightness monoscopic
and stereoscopic projectors from major manufacturers. These Xenon lamps are
typically rated at 1,000 – 1,500 hours operating life, which translates to
one year or less in frequently used systems. In multi-projector systems,
replacing only bulbs instead of the entire lamp assembly can add up to
significant cost savings and contribute to green goals at end-user
organizations.
“Lamp replacement is a win-win for the bottom line and environmental
impact of organizations operating advanced visualization systems,” said
Matthew McKaig, Mechdyne Global Technical Services Manager. “We are proud to
offer the program and hope that it will help customers achieve internal
goals.”
Mechdyne validates that refurbished lamps will not affect projector
performance and that bulb life is equivalent to manufacturer specifications.
In addition to refurbishing lamps, Mechdyne is offering a $50 reward for
return of undamaged, used lamp housings, as part of its corporate commitment
to reduce waste. Details on the “Go Green / Save Green” projection lamp
renewal program, including specific lamp models covered and cost, is
available via e-mail to
greenlamp@mechdyne.com.
