Christopher Barron Joins Bentley as VP Corporate Marketing
 EXTON,
PA, Apr 8, 2008 – Bentley Systems, Incorporated has appointed Christopher
Barron to the position of vice president, corporate marketing. In this
capacity, Barron will be responsible for all of Bentley’s corporate
marketing strategies and campaigns, along with its public relations
initiatives, and will report to Chief Marketing Officer Ed Mueller.
 Barron has more than 25 years of experience as a marketing executive at
some of the leading providers of design software for the architecture,
engineering, and construction (AEC) market, including Autodesk, Softdesk,
Graphisoft, and Intergraph. He joins Bentley from Stone Face Group, a
consultancy for marketing strategy, branding, communications, and Web site
and graphic design, where he served as CEO.
“Chris is truly a unique find,” said Ed Mueller. “He comes complete with
all of the marketing insight and creative talent we were looking for,
coupled with in-depth knowledge of the AEC community gained through
firsthand experience as a former practicing architect.”
Mueller continued, “Bringing Chris on board is part of a strategic
initiative to raise the visibility of Bentley and the role it plays in the
critical task of sustaining infrastructure all over the world.”
Barron holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Graduate School of
Design at Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury
College. He recently moved to Chester County, Pa., where he lives with his
wife.
