Bentley STAAD.Pro 2006 Supports Russian, Chinese Standards

Pennsylvania, March 2, 2007 – STAAD.Pro 2006, the newest version of
Bentley’s leading general-purpose structural analysis and design solution,
is quickly gaining certification for use by multinational and domestic
design firms in countries around the world. It was just approved for use
with Russia’s design codes by the Russian Committee of Standards, and is one
of the few software programs to receive this certification. Last year,
STAAD.Pro 2006 was certified by the Building Steel Structure Committee of
China Building Metal Structure Association (CBMSA) in Beijing, an academic
and government institute. In total, the new release currently supports 70
international and loading codes around the globe.
Recently, STAAD.Pro was used to design the Lithuanian Ethno-Cosmology
Museum in Ciulenai, Lithuania, using the Russian design codes. For more

Engineering Consultation Bureau (BKB), an engineering firm in Latvia, used
STAAD.Pro to design a 22,750-square-meter hockey stadium in Latvia, Arena
Riga.
STAAD.Pro facilitates the design of steel, concrete, timber, and aluminum
structures for buildings, plants, tunnels, bridges, and more. It offers a
state-of-the-art user interface, visualization tools, and advanced finite
element and dynamic analysis capabilities for multi-material design.
STAAD.Pro 2006 features new nonlinear, seismic and dynamic analysis
tools, along with enhanced interoperability that advances the integration of
design and analysis across the structural workflow. For example, the new
software is integrated with Bentley’s broad structural portfolio, including
other STAAD and RAM products, pipe stress, concrete detailing, and Bentley’s
BIM solutions, enabling engineers to streamline their workflow for various
structural solutions.
Among the Bentley BIM solutions available to structural engineers is
Bentley Structural for building design and documentation of structural
systems for buildings and industrial plants in steel, concrete, and timber.
Work can be done in either STAAD.Pro 2006 or Bentley Structural and changes
are automatically reflected in both, allowing integration among analysis,
design, and documentation in a BIM solution.
