Bentley Company of Year, Say Construction Computing Readers
KENT,
England, January 5, 2007 – Construction Computing magazine announced today
that Bentley Systems, Incorporated was named Company of the Year during The
Hammers 2006 awards ceremony at the Russell Hotel in London. This top award,
which is voted on by the readers of Construction Computing, recognizes the
company that has earned the highest respect and admiration of users and
suppliers through its commitment to technological innovation and the
development of quality products and services for construction IT
professionals.
Stuart Leigh, director of the Construction Computing awards program,
said, “The Construction Computing readership voted in droves for Bentley. Of
the roughly 4000 votes cast in the Company of the Year category, Bentley
received more than 2500. This is just reward for a company that not only is
a pioneer in a challenging, technology-driven arena, but also produces
quality products for a demanding marketplace. To win any of The Hammers 2006
awards is difficult, so winning Company of the Year confirms Bentley’s place
at the top of the construction computing tree.”
In accepting the award for Bentley, Neville Glanville, building industry
sales director for Bentley, said, “I am pleased and honored to accept this
award on behalf of our more than 2000 colleagues around the globe. Receiving
this type of acknowledgement further validates Bentley’s strategy of
supporting users throughout the lifecycle of their projects. Our goal is to
help users be successful by providing them with a fully integrated portfolio
ranging from building information modeling to solutions for civil,
geospatial, and plant applications.”
Other awards presented at The Hammers 2006 included: E-Commerce Product
of the Year, Project Management Product of the Year, Business IT Service

a year and is combined with CAD User AEC Magazine.
The magazine's editorial purpose is to provide information about all
aspects of construction IT product and service use across the whole range of
construction areas. Editorial content is placed in a construction company
and construction project context. For example, how will any specific IT
component improve the course of a particular construction project and how
will it improve the performance of the construction company and its
