Inventor LT Free for Another Year
Update will be available before May 1, 2008
SAN
RAFAEL, CA, Mar 20, 2008 - Since its release in May 2007, the Autodesk
Inventor LT Technology Preview software has steadily expanded its presence
within the manufacturing community as a widely accepted member of the
Autodesk Inventor family of products.
Due to the high demand for the current version of Inventor LT, Autodesk
will be delivering an updated version of the software prior to the May
1, 2008 expiration date, to continue to provide the service to
existing customers. Based on Inventor 2009 technology, this new version will
once again be a Technology Preview with free time-bound licenses. Stay
tuned for more detail on the Inventor LT Technology Preview 2009 when it
becomes available for download later this spring.
Dedicated
to broadening the reach of Inventor LT globally, Autodesk recently expanded
initial availability in Canada and the United States to include Australia
and New Zealand. Autodesk also currently plans to further expand
availability of Inventor LT to additional select countries in 2008.
Improved Communication for the Manufacturing Supply Chain
Inventor LT allows manufacturers to create, share, and edit 3D part
models from different CAD systems, improving communication with suppliers
and customers. Providing manufacturers with a similar user interface and the
much of the same part-level 3D modeling, import/export, documentation, and
rendering technology available in Autodesk Inventor software, Inventor LT
allows all files created and 3D design skills learned to fully transfer to
Inventor – the foundation of the Autodesk solution for Digital Prototyping.
By increasing the availability of Inventor LT, Autodesk is further
enabling the manufacturing supply chain to participate in Digital
Prototyping workflows, without many of the hassles traditionally associated
with multi-CAD environments.
