LAHTI, Finland, July 31, 2007 - ASCON, the developer of KOMPAS-3D software solution for Mechanical CAD, has hold a training seminar for its international partners and resellers.

It was a second Partner's meeting hosted by ASCON in its headquarter office in St-Petersburg, Russia. This time seminar gathered ASCON dealers and distributors from Europe, South-East Asia and Australia.

The seminar participants were the first who preview and test one the most anticipated release of ASCON CAD solution - KOMPAS-3D V9 New Version. KOMPAS-3D V9 is expected to be available for customers later on this summer. The New version of KOMPAS promises to become one of the the most significant release of mid-range Mechanical CAD software and includes a lot of novelties for enhancing the 3D modeling functionality, make 3D Modeling familiarizing easier, simplifying designer work.

Besides, the seminar program traditionally included the practical aspects of design and drawing in KOMPAS-3D. Participants learned basis of 3D Modeling and Draw Creation in KOMPAS, Parametric Models, Samples and Assemblies Creation, Sheet-Metal Modeling and many other topics.

In the last days of the meeting ASCON awarded KOMPAS-3D Certificates to participants and arranged special sightseeing program.
