PITTSBURGH, PA and MARLBOROUGH, MA, Nov 20, 2007 - ALGOR, Inc., a leading provider of design, analysis and simulation software, and Kubotek USA, Inc., makers of geometry-based KeyCreator computer-aided design (CAD) software, jointly announced today the expansion of their existing partnership with a new co-distribution agreement. ALGOR will distribute KeyCreator with its latest finite element analysis (FEA) software, ALGOR V21; and Kubotek USA will distribute ALGOR DesignCheck with KeyCreator 7.0. This complementary CAD and FEA software comes with a six-month license, providing thousands of ALGOR and Kubotek USA customers with a complete design-and-analysis solution.

KeyCreator provides best-in-class translation, model repair, de-featuring, sectioning and general editing of 3D models from numerous popular CAD formats including ACIS, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, IGES, Parasolid, SolidWorks and STEP. KeyCreator features Kubotek's new FaceLogic technology, which dramatically speeds selection and editing of design features in non-native solid models.

ALGOR DesignCheck allows users to verify individual parts with a first-pass stress analysis to virtually test the behavior of product designs, speed up time to market and make better, safer products at a lower cost. Powered by ALGOR's InCAD technology, ALGOR DesignCheck is fully associative with each updated model from Kubotek's KeyCreator and REALyze products.

"By providing ALGOR DesignCheck to our KeyCreator customers with active maintenance contracts in North and South America, they can see for themselves how easy it is to transfer a CAD model into ALGOR for analysis," said John Wright McCullough, Kubotek USA Product Manager. "In the future, both companies plan to further develop cooperative channel opportunities for each other's products."

"Supplying KeyCreator provides ALGOR users with a full-featured, state-of-the-art CAD package that supports native CATIA V5 parts and is tightly integrated with our software," said Bob Williams, ALGOR Product Manager. "KeyCreator users can use ALGOR DesignCheck to try out our linear static stress analysis capabilities for single-part models. For more advanced analysis needs, they can easily upgrade to any of ALGOR's wide range of analysis capabilities that all work associatively with KeyCreator."
