Actify's SpinFire 9.0 to Feature in HOOPS 3D Exchange
New Technology Based on PRC Data Format Part of SpinFire
9.0 Release
SAN
FRANCISCO, CA, Oct 5, 2010 - Actify, Inc. and Tech Soft 3D (TS3D) today
announced that the latest version of Actify's award winning product data
visualization product, SpinFire 9.0, is the first application to feature the
new HOOPS 3D Exchange (3DX) technology. TS3D, which develops and provides
HOOPS 3DX along with other component technologies for the engineering
industry, has repackaged the popular OEM translators into pure library form.
For more information on SpinFire 9.0, please see the press release.
HOOPS 3DX guarantees optimum translation speed and precision within
Actify's flagship product SpinFire, which distills native 2D/3D CAD files
from proprietary applications into the compact and lightweight .3D format.
"We evaluated the new HOOPS 3D Exchange libraries for a number of key CAD
formats we support and found it had the capabilities, performance and
stability we needed to provide the fast, accurate CAD data translation our
customers require," said Actify CEO David Opsahl. "That, combined with Tech
Soft 3D's reputation for excellent support, gave us extreme confidence in
our decision."
"We were impressed with how quickly the excellent engineering team at
Actify was able to incorporate our new HOOPS 3D Exchange libraries into
their solutions," added Ron Fritz, Tech Soft 3D CEO. "They began working
with the beta after it was released on July 2, and two months later, are
shipping a commercial application."
Tech Soft 3D acquired the license to the 3D SDK and related technologies
from partner Adobe, Inc. in May 2010 for the development of HOOPS 3D
Exchange. HOOPS 3DX offers broad import and export capabilities, including
industry-standard PRC, the native file format found in Adobe Reader and
Adobe Acrobat.
