The 3DR sales team recently joined SoftBank C&S on their national Site Scan roadshow, demonstrating the product across Japan in collaboration with Autodesk and Shibamoto & Co., 3DR’s authorized distributor in Japan.

“Being in person with SoftBank C&S, Autodesk, and Shibamoto made it clear just how big of an impact aerial data capture can have in the Japanese market,” said Matt Harrison, Head of Sales at 3DR. “Aerial data software like Site Scan is already driving productivity for our customers in Japan. The partnership with SoftBank C&S will allow 3DR to meet the demand for drone data across the country.”

Site Scan is a complete drone to data platform, which collects aerial data and processes it in the cloud into 2D and 3D models. Site Scan data can also be easily exported into standard file formats that can be used in various design tools.

Site Scan’s key features and specifications—both hardware and software—are compliant with Japan’s i-Construction mandate, set by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLIT) in 2016 to use ICT to increase productivity in construction and civil engineering.

“SoftBank C&S is an established, innovative firm with a strong track record of success, and it’s great to see their initial traction with the Site Scan roadshow,” said Chris Anderson, CEO, 3DR. “We look forward to continuing to develop our partnership with them to help drive productivity on construction projects across Japan.”
