National Office
of Building Technology and Administration, Norway - serves as a link
between the Ministry of Local Government, the building industry and the
public; provides the authorities with better insight into matters affecting
the building industry and encourages cooperation between the industry and
the public sector; responsible for administering and interpreting national
building regulations, and has the authority to administer a centralized
system of Approval of designers, constructors or controllers in the building
industry' also responsible for providing guidance and information concerning
national building regulations' furthermore, the office conducts studies to
provide a sound basis for revision or simplification of the regulations; a
newly-added page specifically dedicated to
Norwegian Building Codes in English is provided.
