It rained in the morning. It was light and only lasted
about an hour and left me a little wet but not soaked. It was the 10th day that
I have been rained on on this trip. If you have been watching the Weather
Channel, you have probably seen the rain and thunderstorms throughout the center
of the country and to the east. The weather seems to be moving with me and I
can't get away from it.

Heavy rains left this business flooded and many roads blocked
I had plenty of time to dry off. After the rain
stopped, the rest of the morning was cool and it even got a little warm. My bike
is covered with mud and debris once again but I'm too tired to wash it again.
I was taking my time today. I tried to enjoy the
hills, the cows in the pasture and the weathered barns. But what I was thinking
most of the time was just finishing the ride safely. The end is near--just 2
more days of riding and I'll be in Boston...
