The forecast for the day called for thunderstorms.
That was on my mind all day as I watched thick dark clouds collect in front of
me even though the sun was shining and hot. A few miles from the shelter of the
hotel, the roads were wet from a previous rainfall. I got a bit wet from the
road spray. That was it. I felt like I'd dodged a bullet.

Sunrise outside of Lebanon, IN.
Maybe it was because I was watching the clouds and not
the road signs that I got lost about 10 miles into the day. After discovering I
was off from the directions, I decided to go by map. That is a much slower way
to go, take it from me. As the day was young, I was farily confident I was going
in the right direction just by following the sun. However, as the day dragged
on, the lack of local detail as well as the tendency of locals to change names
and route numbers all added up to extra miles, back tracking, asking for
directions, etc. I didn't end up on the planned route until about mile 65.
However, what seemed like forever ended up only costing me about an hour and an
extra 6 miles.
I rode through the little town on Knightsville, famous
for the filming of Hoosiers, the basketball movie with Gene Hackman. I didn't
stop to take a picture. What is wrong with me?

Farmhouse in Lewisville, IN.
We're on the eastern edge of Indiana. Tomorrow, I lose
an hour as we head into the Eastern time zone. I'm going to bed early so I can
still get into the hotel early.

Eating health food again. But how can you resist a root beer float on a 90
degree day after a 100 miles on the road?
