PARIS, France and VANCOUVER, Canada, March 1, 2007 – Bionatics, the leading developer of 3D plant modeling and simulation tools for the 3D industry, announces the launch of a series of training videos for its EASYnat 3D plant modeler and dedicated to the Design Visualization market. The EASYnat videos are recorded training sessions, ready to used, and designed to teach the concept of plant modeling with EASYnat v2.5. They are available for free in continuous flow (streaming) in Windows Media Video format.

The videos are divided into several modules, each one dealing with a specific aspect of plant modeling. For instance:

The session called Modeling an EASYnat tree in Full geometry teaches the user how to model an EASYnat plant in full 3D geometry, along with the tuning options available in 3ds Max or Autodesk VIZ. This mode is used for close up and detailed rendering of the plants: length 4 min 20 s

The session called Modeling an EASYnat tree in Hybrid mode teaches how to model an EASYnat plant in hybrid mode and along with the tuning options available in 3ds Max and Autodesk VIZ. This mode is used for rendering of plants from a further distance or for large areas: length 4 min 50 s

Throughout these modules, users will learn how to maximize speed and efficiency in the same type of architectural production environment. Bionatics will add more video modules in the near future in order to cover a larger area of use in the architectural visualization field as such as the rendering of large forest and the animation of plants and trees. Training modules are designed for users with little or no experience with EASYnat or users who wish to become more proficient with the EASYnat product. A basic level of experience with modeling and rendering in Autodesk 3ds Max or Autodesk VIZ is also required.

The Training Videos are available in English and French languages on the EASYnat website or the link http://www.bionatics.com/EASYnatTutorial.html.

They are also available in Japanese language on the Japanese website www.bionatics.jp.
