BeLight Updates Labels & Addresses 1.3 for Mac Tools

Apr 29, 2009 - BeLight Software releases Labels & Addresses 1.3 update for
their Mac tool for designing and printing labels and envelopes. According to
USPS, Intelligent Mail Barcode will soon be required to qualify for lower
automation rates. Have you prepared for this transition? This BeLight app will
help with the changeover by offering users Intelligent Mail Barcode support.
Moreover, the update brings the ability to generate QR (Quick Response) code,
and many other improvements. The update is free for existing Labels & Addresses
customers.

Intelligent Mail
Barcode will soon replace PLANET and POSTNET barcodes. This new postal
barcode will be required for companies that want to qualify for the the maximum
automation discounts. In addition to discounts, this barcode provides accurate
tracking.

This innovative code is aimed at mobile phone users allowing them to read
information encoded in it using a phone camera. Another eye-catching
implementation of QR
code is the ability to produce 2D code that resembles company logos,
characters, or photos without losing any of the code's information.
Labels & Addresses version changes:
- Intelligent Mail barcode is now supported;
- Support for QR matrix code (2D barcode) added;
- Pinnacle Label templates now become available;
- Encoding algorithm of Code 128 has improved, which produces more compact
barcodes if only numeric values are used;
- Vertical Expansion option added for single text fields;
- Problem with printing to some Brother continuous tape fixed;
- Import has improved allowing to use Excel file data with Cyrillic, Asian
and other symbols;
- Custom Layout dialog for postcards has changed.
