ODESSA, Ukraine, Feb 6, 2009 - BeLight Software releases Disc Cover version 2.3, an update to its software for designing CD/DVD labels, inserts, jewel cases, covers and more on a Mac. This update adds support for DiscT@2 technology making Disc Cover the first and only Mac program that works with it. DiscT@2 provides a unique opportunity to write text or graphics on the data side of the disc. This technology uses laser to etch the design utilizing the space left after burning data on any DVD±R with Labelflash-compatible drive. DiscT@2 technology (patented by YAMAHA) lets you write text and graphics on the data side of DVD discs using a Labelflash-enabled drive: http://www.yamahamultimedia.com/yec/tech/discta2_01.asp.

Labelflash technology (jointly developed by YAMAHA and FUJIFILM) allows to laser etch the design on the label side of the disc (special media is required): http://labelflash.jp.

LightScribe is a similar technology introduced by HP: http://www.lightscribe.com.
