Barry-Wehmiller Promotes Anantharama to 5th Partner

LOUIS, MO, Feb 19, 2009 - Vasant Bennett, president and managing partner of
Barry- Wehmiller International Resources (BWIR), a global provider of
business and technology solutions to the mid-market manufacturing domain,
has announced the promotion of Balachandran “Bala” Anantharama to the
position of Partner, Enterprise Consulting.
Mr. Anantharama has been instrumental in establishing the Enterprise
Consulting business unit as a significant component of BWIR since joining the
firm in 2006. His achievement of partner was announced at a special recognition
ceremony attended by the firm’s global leadership team as well as Mr.
Anantharama’s family.
“Bala brings more than 20 years of experience in enterprise consulting to
BWIR, having previously worked with a wide variety of Fortune 500 and start-up
companies,” Bennett stated. “It is through his rich and diverse experience that
he is able to successfully grow the market of enterprise consulting for our
firm.”
During the recognition ceremony, Barry-Wehmiller Chairman and CEO Robert H.
Chapman also recognized Bala for his special contributions to the advancement of
Barry-Wehmiller’s unique leadership culture and programs. “Bala continues to
exemplify our Guiding Principles of Leadership as a respected professor within
the Leadership Development School of our corporate university,” Chapman said.
“Through his inspiration and example, Bala is helping to make a positive impact
on the lives of every stakeholder in our organization.”
Mr. Anantharama holds a master’s degree in business management from
California State University, Hayward, and a post graduate diploma in sales and
marketing from Bhavan’s College in Mumbai, India.
