AVEVA Appoints Hanno Tam as VP, Sales
CAMBRIDGE,
England, August 2, 2007 - AVEVA (LSE: AVV), the leading supplier of
engineering IT systems for the plant and marine industries, today announced
that Hanno Tam has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Sales
for AVEVA Americas.
Tam,
a seventeen-year AVEVA veteran, will oversee sales operations for Canada ,
Latin America, and the United States . He has over 20 years of experience in
the Process, Power and Marine industries in technical, sales, business
development, and managerial roles. Prior to this appointment, Tam as head of
region spearheaded AVEVA’s South East Asia countries and India sales
operations, growing that business more than 600% over the last three years.
Tam was a key member of the team that started AVEVA’s early operations in
Japan, Hong Kong and China , which has led to AVEVA’s major business
successes today, particularly in China ’s power market.
Prior to his career at AVEVA, Tam was a software developer and senior
design engineer in the shipbuilding industry with Cammell Lairds
Shipbuilding Ltd. and Vickers Shipbuilding and Engineering Ltd. He holds a
B.Sc. Hons in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
from Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, England.
Tam will be based out of AVEVA’s Calgary, Alberta office.
