is noteworthy. Hosted in San Diego, August 9 – 11, 2007 and supported by

VisMasters DMVC: An Overview
Friday featured a full day of sessions and events that continued through
late evening. Doug Eberhard, CTO for Parsons Brinckerhoff, set the tone of
the conference with a keynote address focusing on the “The Future of
Visualization.” Engaging professionals in the concepts of the evolving
design process for architecture, engineering and construction projects, the
program focus shifted to “What it Means to do Business in the Field of
Architectural Visualization,” which featured leading speakers: Jorge
Tiscareno (Gensler), Kevin Smith (SPINE3D), and Scott Baumberger (Baumberger
Studio).
Afternoon concurrent sessions offered sessions to complement a variety of
professional needs: Advanced Visualization Production Techniques with Vlad
Bina (xyBlue Design), Implementing New Tools and Techniques for Enhancing
Visualization with Kevin Gilson (Parsons Brinckerhoff) and Eddie Perlberg
(Autodesk), and Embracing the Digital Toolbox with David Anderson (HOK).
The Evolution of Visualization and Information Modeling session was
hosted by renowned speakers Sean Mei (Screampoint), Eric Waldman
(Microsoft), and Ian Kinman (Animation + Images). The final evening session
was hosted by Chris Nichols (SWAY): Going Hollywood: Blurring the lines
between Feature Film and Architectural Visualization.
Featuring world class work from global competitors, the evening was
capped off with the CGarchitect.com Industry Awards. Vying for the much
coveted industry awards, professionals lauded the work of global artists and
designers until the late hours.
Saturday programs focused on workflow. The general session hosted by Sean
Ahlquist (Proces2) focused on Emerging Methods in Design: Thinking
Architecture through Digital Processes. The morning and afternoon sessions
featured trainers from world class firms and companies: Jorge Barrero (Gensler),
Chris Bullen (True Dimensional Studios), Mark Gerhard (IMAGINiT
Technologies), Brian Smith (3DAS/3DATS) and Brian Zajac (3DAS).
