ARCHIBUS Names in Gartner Leaders Magic Quadrant
BOSTON,
MA, Sep 10, 2008 - ARCHIBUS Inc., the #1 worldwide provider of real estate,
infrastructure, and facilities management software, today announced it has
been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant of its most recent
“Magic Quadrant for Integrated Workplace Management Systems” report issued
July 31, 2008. “Leaders,” says Gartner’s definition of the term, “have
strength in applications and platform technology, demonstrate a high level
of quality in product reliability and service, have strong operational and
organizational capabilities and financial stability, have global reach, and
offer a strong vision of customer needs reflected in a robust development
road map.”
“We are pleased to have ARCHIBUS included in the report’s Leaders
quadrant,” notes ARCHIBUS President and founder Bruce K. Forbes. “Our
continually enhanced software is the foundation for our Intuitive Business
Transformation (IBT) initiative, an approach to making real estate,
infrastructure and facilities management easier, more insightful, and highly
responsive to organizational needs as demonstrated by its rapid deployment
capabilities and other advantages.”
To achieve that goal of providing more sophisticated management of real
estate, infrastructure and facilities, recent ARCHIBUS product additions
have included the integration of new Building Information Modeling (BIM)
capabilities from Autodesk, Inc. as well as Geographic Information System
(GIS) capabilities from industry leader ESRI, Inc.
The GIS data integration with ARCHIBUS-based real estate, infrastructure,
and facilities data, for example, blends geospatial information with
interior and exterior building data for more cost-efficient property
management, improved site development planning, comprehensive balanced
scorecards for environmental sustainability and capital planning, more
insightful analysis tools for site selection and asset utilization, as well
as improved operations decision support, among other benefits.
“As new technologies are developed internally or incorporated from
external partners,” adds Forbes, “ARCHIBUS will continue on its aggressive
technology roadmap to deliver a comprehensive, high ROI (Return on
Investment) solution with a low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) profile.”
