Altair Launches Design Center of Excellence in Kuala Lumpur
 BANGALORE,
India, May 25, 2007 - Altair Engineering a global leader recognized for
innovative product development advanced engineering software and grid
computing technology announced its launch of Design Optimization – Centre of
Excellence (DO-COE) in collaboration with Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) to
jointly promote design simulation technology. The collaboration emphasizes
setting up Centre of Excellence for Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) based
Design Optimization and sponsorship of Altair’s HyperWorks Software (suite
of products) for UniKL.
The joint collaboration supported by Mekarprise Sdn. Bhd. (Altair’s local
Malaysia-based partner) will be effective for a period of 5 years for the
development of technical know how of Malaysia’s future generation in
Computer Aided Engineering by introducing CAE/Design course curriculum and
its benefits for UniKL students and the industrial community.
