UK's Eric Wright Construction Selects Autodesk Buzzsaw
FARNBOROUGH,
UK, June 2, 2008 - Lancashire-based multi-discipline construction company
Eric Wright Construction has selected the Autodesk Buzzsaw collaborative
project management solution to help manage its portfolio of projects.
Although the company initially implemented the solution for one project, it
has been so impressed with the results that it has extended its use of the
software.
Based in Preston, Eric Wright Construction is part of the Eric Wright
Group, which undertakes construction, development, civil engineering and
facilities management projects across the North West of England. Its
contracts include PFI, health, education and commercial projects ranging in
budget from £1 million to £40 million.
After undertaking a complex and confidential project where the team was
spread across the country, Adrian Sewell realized that in order to
coordinate both the people and the data a collaborative project management
solution was required. Having worked with Buzzsaw successfully in the past
he implemented the solution and has not looked back since.
“Buzzsaw is user friendly and it’s very familiar to our staff as it looks
like any other Windows application. Features such as the ability to comment
on documents online and post the comments back to the originators, have been
really useful for us, and having all the up-to-date information available in
one place has been a real benefit.”
Having initially implemented the solution for one project, Eric Wright
Construction was so impressed by the results Buzzsaw delivered that it has
expanded the site to cover a number of additional projects.
“Initially it was for just one project from inception through to
construction, but now we are using it for projects in their early stages,
which might be some time away from becoming a live contract but still have a
lot of information associated with them. In the future, we will be looking
to further expand our use of the software,” adds Sewell.
